WINTER SPORTS CONTEST
Sport events are the integral part
of the staff policy in Elinar. On the 13th of February the Winter
Sports Contest opened and joined together the teams of the company's
employees and the teams of the rural settlement of Ateptsevo. The
Sports Contest turned out to be one of the most colorful and entertaining
corporate events, and the time of the contest coincided with the
celebration of the generous Maslenitsa (the Butter Week) - a festival
much loved by all Russian people.
Participants of the Winter Sports Contest - the teams "Elinar", "Holding", "Plant", and "Elinar-Broiler", as well as a picked team of the Ateptsevo settlement "SPA", "Zodiac", "Olhah", combined teams from schools of Ateptsevo, New Olhovka and Kamenskoe, gathered once again at the sports ground by Eryukhino village.
The participants competed in the following sports: a ski relay, mini-football, a relay race "Vesyolye Starty" ("Merry Starts"). The team representatives also had a go at the sports labirynth.
The spectators had a great opportunity not only to support their teams, but also to relax with their families: to enjoy traditional Elinar shashlik (shish kebab) and belyashes (fried meat pies), to take part in funny competitions. As a part of Maslenitsa celebrations, besides enjoying the meals, the spectators could listen to Russian folk songs, performed by the local choral singing collectives, to watch the concert program.
People who love to have an active and extreme rest were able to jump off the bungee, to try their hand in weight lifting and tug of war.
There were entertainers at the playground, who were not letting children to get bored, having organized funny contests and action games for the smallest of them.
After the Contest, all the participants and the people responsible for sports and public work were awarded diplomas and valuable prizes. The main prize was a Cup of Winter Sports Contest, which went to the team of Ateptsevo settlement, the overall winner of the "Winter Sports Contest 2010". The second place was taken by the sportsmen of "Zodiac", and the third place was given to "Holding".
